Overactive bladder affects up to 30% of adult women and yet, very often, the condition goes undiagnosed and untreated despite its potential to significantly affect quality of life.

She went on to explain that although the condition can occur in men it is far more common in women particularly post-menopausal women who also have comorbidities such as diabetes or obesity. It is also more common in women who are pregnant or who have delivered a baby.
