Only 4% of Australians seeking vaccine advice before travelling overseas visit a specialised travel clinic. The rest visit their GP, says travel medicine expert Dr Deb Mills.

In the post-Covid era, this puts a lot of pressure on your average busy GP, she said on a recent Healthed podcast. At the best of times, many GPs find this a bit daunting as travel medicine now is quite complex and wide-ranging, and it’s a subject that is not well-covered at medical school.
